The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m., authorities said. His name was not reported as of late Friday morning.
No arrests have been made and no weapons recovered, PPD added. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or the police tipline at 215-686-8477.
